Depart from the Colverde Cabinovia parking lot in San Martino di Castrozza, and ride the Cabinovia up to the Colverde Refuge (2000 m). From there, follow trail 712 (dei Finanzieri) to Passo Rolle (Castellazzo lift parking lot / Baita Segantini) and ascent along trail 710 to Baita Segantini (2174 m). From there, descend into the Venegia Valley to Pian della Vezzana (2010 m) and then gently ascend along Trail 749 to Venegiota Pass. Take the path on the right and continue on the 751 track following the trail n. 2, skirting the eastern slope of Mulaz until reaching, after a short equipped section, Rifugio Mulaz (2571 m).
Alternatively, if you leave in the afternoon, you can take a shorter route to the Refuge by following trail 710 “Quinto Scalet” which climbs from Pian della Vezzana to Mulaz Pass (2619 m) and then descends to Mulaz Refuge. Once you reach Mulaz Pass, you can reach the summit (2906 m) following tracks and red signs in about 40 minutes to enjoy a splendid view of the entire Pale di San Martino chain and surrounding peaks.
Mulaz Refuge – Rosetta Refuge

From Rifugio Mulaz (2571 m), ascend in a southerly direction toward Forcella Margherita (2655 m) along path 703, at the foot of Cima del Focobon. After about half an hour, take the Ferrata that leads to Passo delle Farangole (2814 m) and then descend along the Val Grande in the direction of Val delle Comelle, on the route of the Alta Via delle Dolomiti No. 2 to an elevation of 2290 m. It then skirts the northern slope of Val delle Comelle slightly uphill to reach Pian dei Cantoni (2313 m) and then ascend to Rifugio Rosetta (2581 m).
Possible variant: from Val Grande, before descending towards the Comelle gorge, take trail 716 towards Bivacco Brunner (2667 m) and then ascend towards Cima della Vezzana (3192 m, the highest in the Pale di San Martino group) via the Ferrata Gabitta d’Ignoti. From Cima Vezzana, we then descend in the direction of Passo Travignolo and then through Val dei Cantoni along trail 716, to ascend to Passo Bettega (2660 m) and then reach the Pale di San Martino plateau and Rifugio Rosetta (2581 m).
Rosetta Shelter – Rifugio Rosetta

From Rifugio Rosetta descend along path 701 in the direction of San Martino di Castrozza to an elevation of 2300 m and then follow path 712 (dei Finanzieri) until you reach the attack of the recently renovated Ferrata Bolver Lugli at Cimon della Pala. The ferrata, which is very aerial and panoramic, runs along the southern face of the Cimon della Pala and allows you to reach the Bivacco Fiamme Gialle (3005 m). From the Bivacco, you then descend in the direction of Passo del Travignolo (2935 m), from which you can admire a splendid panorama of the Venegia Valley and the ascent route of the first day of the Tour. To return to the Rosetta Refuge, you descend along the Val dei Cantoni along trail 716 to ascend to the Bettega Pass (2660 m) and then reach the Pale di San Martino plateau and the Refuge.
Possible variant: From Travignolo Pass it is possible to climb, in just over an hour, to the nearby Cima della Vezzana (3192 m) along trail 716, thus reaching the highest peak in the Pale di San Martino group.
Rosetta Hut – Velo della Madonna Hut

From Rifugio Rosetta (2581 m), descend along trail 702 to Col dele Fede (2278 m), then keeping left and taking trail 715 to Ball Pass (2443 m). From the Pass, ascend along Trail 714 along the Nico Gusela Equipped Trail to Forcella Stephen and the nearby Cima di Val di Roda (2791 m), from which there is a splendid view of San Martino di Castrozza. Climb down to so called Porton (2480 m) and then follow trail 739 until you reach Rifugio Velo della Madonna (2358 m), following the via ferrata of the same name.
Velo della Madonna Hut – Treviso Hut

From the Velo della Madonna Hut, go up to Cima della Stanga (2550 m) along the 742 path (also called the “del Cacciatore” path), walking down Val Pradidali under the impressive eastern face of Sass Maor. Once you get to the spot called Pedemonte (also “Pòrtela” 1627 m) follow the 709 path towards the ruins of Malga Pradidali (1428 m) to finally reach Malga Canali (1302 m). Continue on the forest road and follow the trail sign number 707 up to an altitude of 1428 metres; from here, climb up to Treviso Hut (1634 m).
Possible variation: an option to fill your day once you get to the Treviso Hut, is to climb on the nearby via ferrata called “del Canalone”. Just 5 minutes far from the Hut, the 720 path will then lead you back to the Hut in about 2 hours.
DETOUR DUE TO TRAIL CLOSURE
From Rifugio Velo della Madonna, take the equipped path “Camillo Depaoli” (n. 734). Once at the Col dei Cistri saddle, follow the signs for Ristorante Cant del Gal. Rifugio Treviso can be reached via path no. 707.
Rifugio Treviso – Rifugio Treviso

From Rifugio Treviso follow trail 707 towards Passo Canali and after about two hours of walking take the Ferrata Fiamme Gialle to reach Bivacco Reali (2595 m). From the Reali Bivouac it is possible to climb, in a little more than an hour’s walk, the Croda Granda Peak (2849 m). Return is made by following the path from Croda Granda along the southern ridge in the direction of Bivacco Menegazzi and Forcella delle Mughe (2244 m), from which the trail is taken off and descends, thus returning to Rifugio Treviso (1634 m).
Treviso Hut – Pradidali Hut

From the Treviso Hut go down along the 707 path to reach, after about 30 minutes, the 711 path. Climb along the 711 path up to the bivouac called Bivacco Minazio (2250 m) and get to Passo delle Lede (2695 m). From the Pass, walk on the short equipped path which runs along Val Pradidali and then crosses the 709 path, a trail which in a walk of about one hour permits to reach the Pradidali Hut (2278 m).

From the Pradidali Hut proceed towards the Velo della Madonna Hut following the 739 trail sign; after a 30 minute walk, take the via ferrata called Ferrata del Porton. Once on the top of the via ferrata you will get to the panoramic spot called Porton (2480 m) to enjoy the beautiful view of San Martino di Castrozza, destination of the Palaronda Ferrata 360. Go down following the 739b path and then descend the via ferrata “dela Vecia”, walking on the 721 path first and then on the 702 path to finally reach San Martino di Castrozza (1450 m).

From Rifugio Rosetta (2581 m), descend along trail 702 to Col dele Fede (2278 m), then keeping left and taking trail 715 to Ball Pass (2443 m).
