Palaronda Trek
Palaronda Trek is a Trekking on the Pale di San Martino, with overnight accommodation in three different Huts: an experience dedicated to those who would like to spend some days and live unforgettable moments in the heart of the Italian Dolomites, in Trentino.
This Trekking permits to walk across the entire area of the Pale di San Martino from North to South in a few days; the trip splits into daily sections, and they do not present any difficulties, or too long excursions: all the trails are equipped with cables and ferratas. The right experience for a medium-level hiker.
The journey times are calculated on the indicative times of an average hiker: the distance of the trail can be covered unhurriedly, in order to enjoy the amazing scenario of our Dolomites during the route, and afterward to relax and have a rest at the Hut.

Rosetta Hut
The Rosetta Hut is located on the western edge of the Plateau of the Pale di San Martino, and is an amazing starting point for hikes and trails. From the Hut you can reach magnificent and unique dolomitic locations, such as the highest peak of the Pale (Cima Vezzana 3192 m) and the Fradusta glacier, or you can just walk for 20 minutes to get to the top of Cima Rosetta. Rosetta Hut provides 80 beds, bar and restaurant service, with a traditional menu and typical recipes from Trentino. Cima Canali stands out like a magnificent natural cathedral, just in front of the Hut, which was built in the hearth of the Pale di San Martino, on the great dolomitic path of the High Route n.2. The Hut was completely renewed in 2005 and provide 64 beds; it is the perfects starting point for amazing via ferratas, hikes and excursions. The Hut can be reached through trails from Val Canali or from the plateau of the Pale di San Martino.Treviso "Canali" Hut
Built by the German Alpine Club in 1897, the Canali “Treviso” Hut lies in the higher part of Val Canali, at the bottom of the Vallon delle Mughe. The Hut, one of the best point of departure for hikes and excursions, provide 38 beds, and it is one of the staging points of the Dolomiti High Route n.2.DAY 1 | FIRST LEG

Route description
From the Colverde funicular station in San Martino di Castrozza, take footpath 701 to reach the chalet Rifugio Col Verde; from here, follow footpath 701 again, towards Rosetta Hut (SAT): you will reach the Plateau of the Pale di San Martino and then the Refuge. From here, with an easy walk of about 20 minutes, you can reach Cima Rosetta (2743 m) and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the Valley and the little town of San Martino.

Rosetta Hut – Fradusta glacier – Pradidali Hut

Route description
From the Rosetta Hut (SAT) follow footpath 709 to get to the Fradusta glacier in about 1.30 hour. Climbing on the left side, it is possible to reach in about 1.30 hour the peak of Cima Fradusta (2939 m) in the heart of the Pale di San Martino. We get down the glacier, and after the Passo Pradidali Basso, we move down through the hollow of Val Pradidali toward the homonymous Hut.

Pradidali Hut – Treviso “Canali” Hut

Route description
Starting from Pradidali Hut, we follow the footpath 709 and go down to Val Pradidali; walking on a panoramic path that runs across impressive dolomitic faces, we get to the beautiful Val Canali, where we can admire the stunning Cima Canali, the countless pinnacles of Cimerlo and the majestic tower of Sass Maor. Then, we move right heading to the ruins of Malga Pradidali and Malga Canali, walking through a larch and spruce wood. Following footpath 707, in a short time we will reach the Canali “Treviso” Hut (1631 m), which lies at the bottom of the Sass d’Ortiga, just in front of the magnificent Cima Lastei.

Canali “Treviso” Hut – Rosetta Hut

Route description
To conclude the experience on the Pale di San Martino, we ascend the wide valley “del Coro”, and we get to Passo Canali (about 3 hours) on the eastern edge of the plateau: once you get here, don’t miss the breathtaking 360° view on the Dolomites. Following footpath 707, we can reach Rosetta Hut (SAT) in about 3 hours. From here, we will take the Col Verde – Rosetta funicular to get to San Martino di Castrozza.
